In my humble opinion, is sad to see so many comments that request a single file or a PDF, while there is an ad on the right hand side of each page for the book in print.
Clearly the posters do not think they should have to help foot the bill for developing this resource, or making it available .
Perhaps the posters are unfamilar of the economics of being paid per click for advertising, although I am sure that the revenue does not cover the expenses of the site.
Personally, I think it is a wonderful approach, allowing the reader to look through the content and decide if it is worth buying a print copy, although I realise that this is not how it was started.
For those that can't or choose not to, what makes it reasonable in your minds to request a download of all of the content? Anyone heard of killing the goose that laid the golden egg?
In short, Have some manners and stop griping people! It's like an all you can eat buffet, dont be a pig and want to take some home with you for later/others!
I hope that this (and my) behaviour does not discourage the Author. My purpose is not to offend.

Unless he ha an existing publishing contract i think www.lulu.com would be an excelent Idea for this book.

I understand the bandwith may be a big problem if putting the whole book for download in one file ... but that's exactely why there is LEGAL p2p , just seed it and if it's good it will spread fast on the net and at no expense ;-)

I would really recommend that you put all of the text into a single document (ideally .pdf file) and make it downloadable. That would be an excellent resource to have on hand in print as well!!!

The Author cites bandwidth as a reason why he hasn't put the book onliine in a single file for download and, yes I understand the frustration for those who live in in a place where there's no inexpensive flat-rate (IE un-timed) internet, maybe if you could find a site willing to host his book and respect his licence wishes it could be put there for download?
he seems to be using side-bar addvertising to help fund this web site and or maintainging this book so alternate funding may be needed for a download version....
I bet if you send him $10 (hmm 5 pounds) and a SAE he could mail you CD-ROM with the book on it.
otoh there's the rules don't seem to preclude you skim-reading the book online and then copying the pages from your browser's web cache :)

I disagree, it is better to leave it as is. Alterations to the text are easier to make in the web page, and less time intensive for the Author.
