14.1.6     Microsoft .NET

This is NOT the latest copy of this book; click here for the latest version.

I would love to introduce you to the Microsoft .NET Framework and its Open Source counterpart, Mono, but at this point the support for it just isn't stable enough: the functionality offered in .NET through PHP just isn't worth anyone's while right now, and doesn't seem to be going anywhere either. Here's hoping that changes!

Want to see this stuff in print? PHP in a Nutshell takes the core topics covered here, adds in thousands of edits from the editorial team and myself, and combines them to make an unbeatable reference for PHP programmers at all levels.

My latest book has hundreds more tips on how to use PHP, Apache, and MySQL, plus Perl, Python, shell scripts, performance tuning, and more!

hoping that changes? no way!! .NET is so bulky and unstable anyway, it's not worth the hassle
